Dislike scam

If you use Facebook regularly, then you’ve probably wished that it had a dislike button so that you could show your disagreement or disapproval easily without actually having to comment on someone’s post. Fb’s like button is a great way for people to show support, but it highlights the absence of a dislike button.

Wherever you find a great desire, you are certain to find a scam.

Hackers have created a fake dislike button application that can highjack your Facebook profile. Once you install the application, the hacker takes control of your profile and starts sending out updates to your friends to spread the virus even further.

Be aware that Facebook does not currently have an official dislike button app. If you download one claiming such a status, then you are more than likely setting yourself up for a virus, which will then spread to your friends. If only there was a dislike button so that all of your Fb friends could let you know that you’ve fallen for a scam.

This isn’t the first time that the dislike button scam has made its way through the realm of Facebook. It’s just the most recent. People have been talking about adding a dislike button for years. Facebook, for their part, hasn’t done much to stop the rumors. In fact, the company’s leaders say that they might one day create an actual dislike button. As long as there are a lot of members online waiting for that to happen, you can expect to see this scam to occur over and over again.

Really, Facebook might as well just create the button and get it over with. At least then the desire would be fulfilled and hackers could move on to something else.
